About this place
At lunchtime, one of the first things to catch the eye at Kitchen Maeda is the choice between the meat-based A set and the fish-based B set. One diner reported that the A set included a simmered hamburger steak, chicken nanban, dried daikon and rolled omelette, among other dishes, with the option of mixing multigrain rice half and half with white rice. On another visit, a diner chose the B set, which came with fried tuna, prawns with mayonnaise, rolled omelette and simmered daikon, alongside a half-and-half serving of brown and white rice. You can decide according to your appetite that day: a meal centred on meat, or fish with Japanese-style side dishes. Some diners have said they would like to try both.
The à la carte and set menus also feature a loin cutlet set made with Okinawan island pork, a pork fillet cutlet set, a chicken nanban set and an ajikatsu rice bowl. The lunch menu includes omelette rice and fresh pasta, too, offering alternatives to fried foods and meat dishes. One diner who ordered the fried prawns praised their size, fine coating and light tartare sauce. Alongside a fried prawn set, the menu lists combinations of fried prawns with hamburger steak, making it easy to opt for a hearty Western-style classic.
You can also add coffee or tea after your meal. It’s an easy way to round off a leisurely lunch, or to include a drink with your meal.
